prof. Ing. Petr Musílek, Ph.D. is considered an expert in the field of capital markets, investment banking and financial regulation. He is a graduate of the Prague University of Economics and Business, Finance programme, where he received his Associate professor and Professor degrees. Since 1990 he has been a member of the Departement of Banking and Insurance of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting and during the years of 2000 – 2003 and 2006 – 2014 he was Vice dean for Science, Reasearch and PhD Studies. From 2014 to 2022 he was a Vice rector for Science and Research of the Prague University of Economics and Business. In 2022 he was elected a Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting.

In the past, prof. Musílek was a member of the Discipline Comittee of the Czech Science Foundation (GACR), member of the Presidium of the Czech Securities Comission and member of the Scientific Body of the Czech Banking Association.

In 2019 he was appointed a member of the Presidium of the Public Audit Oversight Board. Currenly, prof. Musílek is a member of Scientific Comittee of Prague University of Economics and Business, of Faculty of Finance and Accounting and of Faculty of Management. He is also a President of the Editorial Board of the Prague Economic Papers journal.

Scientific work:

  • scientific work of prof. Musílek is aimed at the area of capital markets, particularly at price behaviour of equity instruments and institutional organization of instruments market
