Publication competitions
Prague University of Economics and Business organises a school-wide ESOP (Excellent Student Professional Works) competition announced by the University’s Rector for students of the bachelor’s and subsequent master’s degrees (seminar, bachelor’s and master’s theses). At the same time, the University organises the Rector’s Award competition for a prestigious publication for the academic staff and doctoral students.
The Faculty organises a competition for students of bachelor’s and subsequent master’s degrees for the best seminar work or article under the name S.O.S. (Student professional competition). The winners are nominated for a school-wide award in the ESOP competition. The Faculty also organises a competition for the academic staff and doctoral students for the best publication (article, professional book, and textbook) Publication Competition of the Dean of the FFA. The winners are nominated for a school-wide award as part of the Rector’s Award competition for a prestigious publication.
On a regular basis are organised also the following other competitions:
- within the “Annual Conference on Finance and Accounting” (ACFA), a competition is organised for the best contribution of doctoral students in the field of finance and accounting
- within the “Theoretical and practical aspects of public finance” (TPAVF) conference, there is organised a competition of student works in the field of public finance
- EY and KFUA Competition for the best bachelor’s thesis on the accounting or auditing topic
- KFOP and APOGEO Group Competition for the best diploma thesis
All proposals are submitted exclusively to the Faculty assistant for research and doctoral studies. Proposals for conferences are sent according to instructions of the conference organisers, for the “EY and KFUA Competition” to the secretary of the Department of Financial Accounting and Auditing. Students and academic staff who methodically guided the winning student in processing of the awarded work receive a reward themselves.
