About the BIFA Programme
Student Handbook 2026/2027
In the Handbook, you will find study plans that are binding for students from the perspective of course structure (according to the academic year of entry). The Handbook also includes information on the start of studies, useful links and instructions for accommodation in dormitories, working with the InSIS information system, and answers to frequently asked questions from new students.

Programme Content
By completing the programme, you will gain the ability to practically apply the following key areas:
- Applied economics, ICT skills, and data handling
- Financial accounting and taxation
- Management accounting and corporate finance
- Financial economics
- Business law
The structure and completion of the programme allow for the maximum possible recognition of examinations by the UK-based ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) and the Chamber of Auditors of the Czech Republic.
Graduate Profile and Career Opportunities
Upon completion of the programme, graduates are able to:
- process and analyse accounting issues and interpret accounting data, including in an international context (IFRS, GAAP)
- analyse and address financial management problems of companies and government institutions, including valuation issues
- solve tax-related problems and propose alternatives for different tax situations
- select and evaluate appropriate financial instruments of banks and other financial market tools
- use ICT tools to address specialised Finance and Accounting problems and for data analysis and presentation
Students may complete a corporate project and professional internship in Czech or multinational companies, where they also develop skills in (project) management.
Thanks to the programme’s practical orientation and work experience, graduates are able to transition smoothly into professional practice, working in teams focused on accounting, auditing, and finance, or to continue in follow-up master’s programmes in economics.
Graduates find employment in international consulting firms, financial institutions, finance departments across all types of companies, as well as in government institutions.
