Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Application Submission

  • Submit your e-application by the deadline, upload your Motivation Letter, Passport, and pay the application fee.
  • Provide an email address that will remain active at least until the end of August (preferably a personal one, not a school email).
  • Only one application can be submitted to FFA for english programme with one study programme (BIFA/MIFA)
  • Offered study programme in English: B-BIFA Finance and Accounting
  • Choosing programmes from other VŠE faculties within this FFA application is not permitted.
  • After completing the application and paying the application fee, the application is accepted (closed) and can no longer be modified.

Application Fee

  • The fee is EUR 100 per application. After submitting the e-application, payment can be made by card or bank transfer using a QR code.
  • QR code payments are not immediate; processing may take several days—please pay in advance.
  • If paying by bank transfer, include the variable symbol provided by email. For international payments, also include your name in the “Message to recipient” field.
  • If a lower amount is paid, the applicant will not be registered. The fee is non-refundable. Cash or postal payments are not accepted.

Invitation to Entrance Exams

  • The invitation (date, time, and location) will be sent electronically to the document storage of your e-application no later than one month before the exam, with prior notification by email.

1st step: Write motivation letter (ML)

Write a motivation letter in academic English (approximately 1,800 characters including spaces) explaining why you wish to study this programme, what you expect from the studies, and what professional goals you aim to achieve (focus as specifically as possible on the fields of finance, accounting, and economics).

ML will be sent to the complete e-applications after each round of the Application Deadline.

2nd step: Entrance Exam – online interview via webcam

Applicants will have the second step entrance exam via webcam. You will be invited to the second step via email after submitting your ML from the first step.

Successful applicants will receive an invitation via email.

Online interviews in English are focused on the ML submitted by the applicants and brief and basic general economic discussion relevant for the study programme.

3,000 EUR per semester. The standard duration of studies is six semesters.

The tuition fee must be paid before the start of each relevant semester. The Prague University of Economics and Business reserves its right to request payment of the tuition fee for the first semester before issuing the confirmation of study acceptance for visa purposes.

If the tuition fee is not paid before the beginning of the semester, the Prague University of Economics and Business reserves the right to terminate the student’s studies.

The total fee per semester does not include any additional bank costs.

BIFA students are eligible for the merit scholarship in the second and third year of the programme, based on their grades in the previous year of the study in the programme.

Students receive a scholarship if their overall grade average for the previous academic year does not exceed 1.3, they obtain the required number of credits, and meet additional conditions set by the Dean.

Deadline for scholarship request: September 30 of the Academic Year.

If students complete these courses, they may obtain ACCA certification for the following exams:

  • Financial Accounting I → K1 Financial Accounting
  • Management Accounting I + II → K2 Management Accounting
  • Corporate nad Business Law → K3 Business Law
  • Taxation I + II → E1 Taxation

Students choose one course from the following: Internship OR Project.

The internship process is individual. Students find their internships individually and may receive support from the Faculty by receiving a recommendation letter. The internship must be at least 2-3 months long to receive the 20 credits. The Internship must usually be in the countries participating in the Erasmus+ programme, including the Czech Republic.

If a student chooses a 20-credit project instead of an internship, they will work on a practically oriented business case study, which can also be partially used for their bachelor’s thesis.
